About Elite Musical Instrument Care

Caring for the instrument, caring for the musician

Elite Musical Instrument Care was born from a clear idea: to offer musicians maintenance and lubrication products that combine safety, high performance, and respect for the instrument. Behind the brand is Pep Sesat, founder of a project that began to take shape in early 2017 with a well-defined purpose: to develop professional, effective, and safe solutions for the care of musical instruments.

From the very beginning, Elite has been guided by a philosophy based on research, constant improvement, and specialization. Since day one, the brand’s mission has been to design and produce non-toxic and safe lubricants for musicians’ regular use, while also pursuing the highest standards of quality, durability, instrument care, musician safety, and professional performance.

In a field where maintenance directly affects playing comfort, instrument preservation, and the performer’s overall experience, Elite has established itself as a brand committed to those who understand that proper care is also part of making music.

2017: the origin of the brand

The birth of Elite became a reality in July 2017, when the brand’s first products were launched: Medium, Light, and Superlight. This initial range represented not only the commercial beginning of the project, but also the definition of its identity: specialized products developed to respond to the real needs of musicians.

From the outset, the brand chose a very specific path: to create technical solutions tailored to musical use, moving away from generic formulas and focusing instead on achieving the ideal balance between precision, ease of use, and care for delicate materials.

That first launch laid the foundations for what Elite is today: a brand specialized in lubricants and maintenance products for musical instruments, dedicated to providing practical solutions for the demanding needs of performers, students, professionals, workshops, and manufacturers.

Growth driven by the real needs of musicians

During its first year, Elite expanded its catalog with new developments that strengthened its position within the sector. The initial range was joined by products such as Extreme, the first Trombone Slide, as well as specific lubricants for fast tuning slides and for the main tuning slides of brass instruments.

This expansion was not simply a matter of increasing the number of products. It reflected a way of understanding product development: listening to the real needs of musicians and transforming them into practical, safe, and effective solutions.

Each new launch reinforced the idea that instrument maintenance should not be approached through improvisation, but through technical knowledge, experience, and deep respect for materials that, in many cases, require highly specific care.

Beyond lubrication: complete instrument care

Alongside the development of lubricants, Elite also took an important step in another essential area of maintenance: cleaning and protecting delicate surfaces. This led to the creation of its high-quality microfiber cloths, specially designed for cleaning instruments that require special care because they are made from noble metals or feature sensitive finishes.

The objective was clear: to provide cleaning materials capable of keeping instruments in excellent aesthetic and functional condition, while minimizing the risk of micro-scratches and surface wear.

In doing so, the brand began to build a more complete offering, based on the understanding that instrument care is not limited to lubricating valves, slides, or mechanisms, but also includes the cleaning, preservation, and protection of every part of the instrument.

Research, specialization, and a commitment to excellence

One of the defining features of Elite’s evolution has been its ongoing commitment to applied research. Rather than settling for a static catalog, the brand has maintained a continuous development process aimed at meeting new technical demands and expanding its service capacity within the industry.

In 2023, this effort became especially focused on meeting the needs of instrument manufacturing and repair workshops, a field in which technical requirements are even greater and every product must meet much higher standards of precision, compatibility, and performance.

After more than a year of research, Elite launched a range of lubricants designed to satisfy the most demanding requirements of repair workshops, broadening its reach and reinforcing its profile as a highly technical and specialized brand. Since then, the launch of new products for the care of musical instruments has remained a constant, reflecting a company in continuous evolution and deeply connected to its sector.

2025: a new commitment to sustainability

Elite’s evolution has not only been shaped by technical innovation, but also by a more responsible vision of product development. In 2025, the brand took an important step forward by adding a new range of products made from 100% plant-based ingredients.

This commitment arose from a dual purpose: on the one hand, to offer top-level solutions for musicians who are especially demanding in terms of instrument care and user safety; and on the other, to respond to a growing awareness of the importance of eco-friendly, sustainable, and naturally sourced products.

With this line, Elite reaffirms its commitment to a future in which professional quality and environmental responsibility are not opposing concepts, but complementary ones. Sustainability thus becomes a natural extension of the brand’s founding values: caring for the instrument, caring for the musician, and caring for the environment.

A brand built from experience, for experience

Elite Musical Instrument Care was not created from a distance, but from a close understanding of the real needs of both musicians and instruments. This proximity has allowed the brand to grow with a very clear vision of the sector: to develop products that provide confidence, performance, and peace of mind in the practice room, on stage, in the classroom, in the workshop, and in everyday maintenance routines.

Every formula, every texture, every material, and every new launch responds to the same guiding principle: to offer products that truly meet the expectations of those who want the very best for their instrument.

Today, Elite continues to work according to the same philosophy with which it began in 2017: to innovate with purpose, to develop with rigor, and to offer solutions that help extend the life of the instrument while improving the musician’s experience.
